Instructions
Prep: Bring butter to room temperature. Let it sit on the counter for 30-60 mins (soft to the touch, about 65-70°F)
Step 1:Â Add butter to mixing bowl of stand mixer.
Tips for Perfecting Vanilla Icing

Sift the Sugar:Â To avoid lumps, sift the powdered sugar before mixing.

Right Consistency:

Thin Glaze:Â Should be pourable and run off a spoon smoothly.

Thick Icing:Â Should hold its shape but still spread easily.

Chill to Set:Â Allow iced baked goods to rest at room temperature or chill briefly to set the icing.
